These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the BeanDial mobile application ("App"), operated by The Atom Group ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
By accessing or using BeanDial, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App.
BeanDial offers optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features:
Subscriptions are processed and managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store account settings. We do not issue refunds for unused portions of a subscription period — all refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
BeanDial is free to download and includes core shot-logging and grinder guidance features. Free users can access their last 3 bags in the Bean Vault and receive basic directional recommendations. Features marked as premium require an active subscription.
An active BeanDial Premium subscription unlocks:
Premium features are available for the duration of an active subscription. Access ends immediately upon cancellation or expiry.

When you mark a shot as "dialled in", anonymised recipe values may be automatically submitted to our shared community dataset. By using this feature, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to store and display these anonymised values as part of the community dataset. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is collected and how it is handled.
BeanDial, its name, logo, design, and all content within the App are the intellectual property of The Atom Group. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that grinder recommendations will produce a perfect espresso, that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that community data will be accurate. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Atom Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms here and update the "last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
